Our Story

From the age of ten, Pat Foca would start work at 4.00 am with his uncle every Saturday morning and on school holidays to earn some pocket money.

He started stocking shelves  and  sprucing prices and eventually was promoted to customer sales and purchasing stock directly from the Footscray Wholesale Market.
In 1994, after graduating  from university with a degree in Civil Engineering, Pat found himself out of work. Using his  years of experience and knowledge in the fruit and veg industry, along with skills acquired at university, he turned The Fresh Pear from a viable business into a professional organisation.

We’ve built a solid reputation for suppling only premium quality fruit and vegetables, specialising in apples and pears and a feature of most seasonal fruits and vegetables.
